Our preschool program serves children 3 - 4 years of age and builds on the social skills and learning introduced during the toddler years. We also offer an early preschool component for children as young as two years old, providing a gentle bridge between toddler and preschool programming. Recognizing that children learn best by doing, we provide a rich, hands-on environment inspired by the Reggio Approach, which emphasizes process over product-oriented learning.

Preschool students are introduced to letters, numbers, counting, literature, and writing, as well as Music and Movement and a rich and rewarding art foundation. The Reggio Approach provides teachers the opportunity to use their creativity and additional resources in designing meaningful curriculum experiences for students.

Along with academic development, a strong emphasis is placed on each child's social and emotional growth, including the ability to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and respectful, productive contributors to their classroom community.

Preschoolers may attend school two, three, or five days per week. Preschool is open to students who have reached their third birthday by December 31 of the year of entry and who are independently and fully toilet-learned.

Our early preschool students may begin the year in diapers and will work toward becoming fully toilet-learned before transitioning into the preschool classroom.
